Intelligent Office has an integrated online word processing system – Author – which is configurable to meet the needs of your business, giving you full control over merge fields, templates and to stipulate specific wording, as well as allowing free type as required. It has similar functionality to Microsoft’s Word software.
Using Author you can set up public templates such as Suitability Reports, Letter of Authority Letters, Policy Document Letters and even Trust Letters. Letters can be branded by simply uploading your company logo and by using the merge facilities within Author you can be sure the right data fields will pull through to the correct areas within the document.
Since Author is online software, from which templates and specific wording etc can be uploaded, you can ensure that across your organisation anyone using one of the saved templates will be accessing the latest copy.
This facility can be especially valuable for remote workers, who can view the latest document saved against the client record, so they can have up to date information before going in to a client meeting, for example. Using Author in this way removes the need for emailing the latest document to the office or the remote worker.
