How we are protecting your data
At intelliflo, protecting your business and client data is our top priority. We understand that data security is of the utmost importance to our customers, and we remain committed to keeping all data safe and secure.
Recent high-profile data breach cases such as those involving Optus, Medibank and now PWC have shown us that without the correct systems in place, consumers remain at risk of having their information fall into the wrong hands.
Earlier this year, ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) warned company directors that failing to prioritise cybersecurity after a cyberattack on their business would result in scrutiny from the corporate regulator.
Protecting customer data was a top priority emphasised by intelliflo CEO Nick Eatock at the intelliflo launch event. To help you understand the measures we have taken to protect our customers against cyber-attacks we answered some commonly asked security questions.
How do I know that intelliflo is secure?
Here at intelliflo, all of our solutions are protected, secure, and validated by the ISO 27001 certification.
What does it mean to have an ISO 27001 certification?
ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised specification for an Information Security Management System, or ISMS. It is the only auditable standard that deals with the overall management of information security, rather than just which technical controls to implement. Achieving ISO 27001 certification means that you have:
- Created an ISO 27001 compliant information security management system
- Had it certified by an accredited certification body
- Are ready to maintain and continually improve it
Our ISO 27001 certification demonstrates to customers that they can trust us to manage their sensitive information.
Our certification enables us to foster a wealth of new opportunities for our customers whilst protecting them from exposure to risk. As a result of our ISO 27001 certification, we demonstrate that our people, processes, tools, and systems adhere to a recognised framework that is the highest standard of compliance.
How has intelliflo invested in data security?
At intelliflo, we have made substantial investments in security to bolster our systems against potential threats. One of the key steps we have taken is nearly doubling our staff across our security teams. This enables us to effectively manage and respond to evolving security challenges.
As we are a part of Invesco, we also have the advantage of leveraging their expertise and knowledge in security. We stay at the forefront of security practices and adopt proactive measures to protect our customers’ data.
How does intelliflo ensure robust Identity and Access Management (IAM)?
Our strong focus on identity access management helps ensure that only the right people can gain access to our systems, as well as your software, data and information. More specifically, it also makes sure that only those who have been granted access to specific information are able to see it.
To confirm this, we engage a number of third parties throughout the year to validate our security processes to further protect both clients and consumers.
Does intelliflo outsource any third parties to test its security capabilities?
With the security landscape continually evolving, we recognise the importance of checking and testing all of our capabilities. We have embraced a proactive approach by conducting frequent testing exercises, with the added advantage of engaging third-party experts. This allows us to tap into a broader range of skills and knowledge, further strengthening our security measures.
