Both events saw a range of keynote addresses and breakout sessions which aimed to bring our users closer to Intelligent Office. Various speakers discussed industry topics and explored the opportunities offered by technology. This highlights video gives an overview of the events.
Dave Coplin, former CEO of Microsoft and former speaker at CTG, spoke about the digital technologies that affect all aspects of our lives as individuals, consumers and in business. He outlined the problems we face, the mistakes and assumptions we make and how we should be using technology.
Intelliflo's COO, Rob Walton chatted with the number one ranked adviser on our eAdviser Index, Charles Matthews of Messer & Matthews. Rob and Charles talked through how the firm has easily and wholly embraced technology and the transformative effect it has had on Charles's business.
This session saw Chris Glazier of Trusted Financial Advice explain how his firm uses Intelligent Office and the Personal Finance Portal not only to satisfy regulatory obligations, but to future-proof his business. Chris explains how he uses the tools to better interact with his clients.
This Intelliflo session focused on how financial advice firms can benefit from the new connectivity afforded by our open API and iO Store. Kieran and Neil demoed a paraplanning app which was developed by one Intelliflo client to improve their business processes in Intelligent Office.
In this World Cup year, we were delighted to have Sir Geoff Hurst talk at our conferences about his experiences in football, playing at the highest level and some humorous insights into other members of that 1966 winning team.Sir Geoff also talked his career after football.
We present our iO Awards annually to recognise those firms who have adopted technology and are getting the most out Intelligent Office.The awards are for our best newcomers, best users of the software and for the most engaged users of our iO Community.
Jason Wood, the new group chief operating officer at Brooks Macdonald explained why investing in your talent is as important as investing in your technology. Jason also provided a few insights into what's going on at Brooks Macdonald and the latest developments at the firm.
With advice firms striving to increase efficiency in their processes, Verona Smith, head of platform at 7IM, showed how the use of integrated technology and investment solutions can achieve this, as well as increase the instances of client engagement for advice firms.
In this session, Jon Rolfe, partner of Epoch Wealth and co-founder of i4C, explained why cashflow modelling software has to be both feature-rich and easy to use. Jon also looked at the way in which using the right cashflow modelling provider can fundamentally improve the advice process.
Mike Webb, business development director at Wealth Wizards, looked how the automation of fact-based sections of financial advice can add significant value to advisory firms. In automating these parts of the process, firms can save time and drive efficiency through their business.
Roger Perry, head of intermediary sales at Defaqto, looked at the fragmented systems and services in the financial advice process and showed how Defaqto Engage can bring together a fragmented advice process for the benefit of the advice firm and the benefit of the client.
Risk profiling has graduated from a box ticking exercise to the backbone of firms’ investment suitability process. In this session, Ben Goss, CEO of Distribution Technology, looked at a solution that offers a consistent risk definition for advice firms as they risk profile clients and leads.
Stuart Cullinan, head of architecture at Intelliflo, explained what an app is, what an app can do and how advice firms can use them. A high level overview, Stuart showed how an app can be built from scratch to integrate its functionality into Intelligent Office and the benefits this can bring.
