Business Development Manager (Australia)

Job purpose 

  • Responsible for achieving stipulated annual targets in accordance with your role
  • Building a portfolio of new prospects from a combination of their own prospect list and supplied prospects with a view to nurture relationships into a sale
  • Ensure a tight communication strategy is maintained with your potential opportunities throughout the whole transition process
  • Ensure you follow the transition process in accordance with Company procedures
  • Provide consultative selling in conjunction with opportunities with a view to identify problems afflicting the business and provide/propose solutions
  • Provide where possible end to end solutions
  • Assist with marketing messages to pro-actively market to potential opportunities
  • Ensure the business plan is reviewed and objectives are being met
  • As an ambassador for intelliflo, maintain professionalism whilst dealing with potential clients

Key responsibilities 

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with new opportunities via meetings, consultative workshops, telephone calls and emails
  • Conducting a mixture of remote and face to face demonstrations/business meetings for new business opportunities
  • Analysis and identification of problems
  • Preparing business presentations
  • Preparation of workshops aligned to a firm’s business requirements
  • Ensure the client undergoes a smooth transition from sales through to implementation
  • Production of accurate commercial proposals as part of consultative selling
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on the industry and our competitors
  • Representing intelliflo at exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Business awareness around roadmap, development and future enhancements
  • You may also be involved with identifying new markets and business opportunities as required by your line manager
  • Conduct a thorough fact-find and full qualification of the opportunity and their business requirements and record this on Salesforce
  • Recording accurate and update information in Salesforce and adhere to the Company rules in accordance with access rights
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed annual targets
  • Ensure that the requirements and arrangements for the first meeting are communicated to the relevant Solutions Consultant at least one week prior to the meeting
  • Additional duties as requested by your line manager
