ROLE OVERVIEW

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a driven and ambitious graduate to begin their career in business development within the financial technology sector. As a Graduate Business Development Specialist, you will support the growth of intelliflo’s client base through proactive desk-based prospecting, telephone outreach, and email campaigns. Working closely with the wider Sales and Marketing teams, you will help identify and nurture new business opportunities, gaining valuable experience and a strong foundation in B2B sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting high-volume outbound telephone and email outreach to prospective clients within the UK Financial Advice and Wealth Management sector.
  • Researching and identifying key decision makers and target accounts using CRM tools, LinkedIn, and other online sources.
  • Engaging prospects to generate interest in intelliflo’s products and services, and qualifying leads ahead of handover to the wider sales team.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and pipeline activity within the CRM system.
  • Supporting the development and execution of targeted outreach campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Providing a conduit between Marketing and Sales to ensure outreach messaging remains relevant and current.
  • Nurturing early-stage relationships with prospects through regular, structured follow-up via telephone and email.
  • Gathering market and competitor intelligence and sharing feedback with the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Achieving agreed activity targets and KPIs, including call volumes, emails sent, and meetings booked for the senior sales team.
  • Assisting with the preparation of prospect information and materials ahead of senior sales team engagements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in any discipline.
  • A keen interest in financial services, fintech, or technology-driven businesses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionals over the telephone and via email.
  • A self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven attitude.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently in a home-based, desk-based environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM platforms is a plus but not essential.
  • A proactive approach to learning, with a genuine desire to develop a career in business development and sales.
