Last year, Catherine Lane, Head of Adviser & Administration Support and Office Manager at Atkins Bland, shared her experience of switching to intelliflo from selecting the right solution through to onboarding and implementation. We spoke to Catherine again to find out how intelliflo office has changed the firm’s day-to-day work and where the team is seeing the greatest benefits.

Because the team learned how to configure workflows during onboarding, they have been able to keep refining tasks and wording themselves as they learn what works best in practice. This flexibility means improvements can be made quickly without needing to rely on a third party.
A clearer view of income
Another major development has been bringing income tracking into one system. Previously, this information was maintained through internal spreadsheets, but now the whole process sits inside intelliflo office. Adding fees is quick and straightforward and the overall benefit is clear. Instead of waiting for a hand-produced spreadsheet at the end of the month, advisers can now see income activity through their dashboard as soon as statements are posted and matched, giving them a much clearer view.
Supporting business growth
The business is also preparing to roll out more functionality over time. Part of the attraction of moving to intelliflo office was the opportunity to make full use of the available technology and, as Catherine points out, “Why pay for a system if you’re not utilising all of it?”
Plans are in place to make greater use of the client portal for secure communication and some advisers are also trialling intelliflo IQ to help update fact finds from meeting notes. The firm is taking a practical approach, introducing new functionality at a pace that works for different users while continuing to make the most of the technology where it adds value.
Reflecting on the past year, the key benefit for Catherine is that intelliflo office has become a natural part of how Atkins Bland runs. Day-to-day administration is more streamlined and the business has greater visibility across its processes. As the firm continues to grow, having everything in one system is helping staff work more efficiently and making it easier to support advisers and clients alike.
As Catherine puts it, “It’s so nice to have a system that can do it all. It just makes it easier for everyone to see what’s happening and stay on top of things. I can’t imagine not having it now.”
