Defaqto ATRQ
Defaqto’s attitude to risk questionnaire, which is now available to license through intelliflo Office, has been developed using adviser feedback and over 80,000 (to November 2020) annualised real client response, observed through Defaqto’s adviser software.
The questionnaire has been rigorously tested and calibrated with 3,000 screened members of the general public, in addition to employees within the financial services industry, to ensure that people with and without experience in finance and investing could be catered for within one questionnaire.
The questionnaire adopts an approach of offering four specified answers to each of the twelve questions, to move away from ‘neutral’ responses that other questionnaires in the arena include, which can lead to noncommittal client responses.
Defaqto adopts a scoring methodology with higher numeric values than other questionnaires in the arena. This is done to allow a greater degree of granularity when it comes to positioning scores within risk profiles, both now and when calibration reviews are undertaken in the future. The total score range is from zero to 480 points.
Upon completion of the questionnaire, the client’s score is mapped to one of ten Defaqto risk profiles. Each profile covers a range of scores and has a written description of the typical characteristics of clients in that risk profile.
