intelliflo innovate 2026: Building the agentic open platform for financial advice professionals
Every year at innovate, we set out to bring people together, discuss the major themes affecting our profession and show you what’s coming next in the technology that sits at the core of your business.
With 26 sessions, over 1,000 advice professionals and industry leaders and some headline news about the next generation of intelliflo office, innovate 2026 was our largest and most inspiring event yet.
We’ll be sharing more content from the event over the next few weeks, but here are a few of the highlights from our CEO Nick Eatock’s strategic update.
The next generation of intelliflo office
Nick’s big news was that the next generation of intelliflo office will be the agentic open platform for financial advice professionals and will launch later this year.
Designed around how you work, the upgraded platform shows you where we think advice technology is heading.
Agentic AI sits at its core. Unlike the generative tools you already use, it works continuously in the background, scanning for anomalies, preparing you for your next client review and flagging where a client decision is due.
It shows you what needs attention and does the groundwork, while you are always in control. It can work as a co-pilot, or run on its own where you choose, with security, governance and audit trails built in.
What makes it different to anything else available now is that it’s open. Those agentic capabilities will be available to the 140-plus partner apps already in the intelliflo store, so the tools you use every day can work together as one orchestrated process across your firm.
We’re building the platform on three principles:
1) Intelligent
Agentic AI will orchestrate processes and advice journeys across your firm’s systems, intelliflo’s solutions and third-party tools alike. The shift is profound: from “logging in to do something” to “software working in the background to help you do your job better.”
2) Customisable
You can customise what you see and how you use the software to reflect your processes and advice style. This includes hiding unnecessary fields, reordering sections and adding custom data fields across intelliflo office in minutes, without bespoke builds.
3) Intuitive
A redesigned interface, built around how advice professionals actually think and work, will give faster navigation through the advice journey, fewer mistakes from unclear screens and more consistent execution across teams and processes.
Working smarter, not harder
The profession is at an inflection point. The need for advice has never been greater, with clients’ financial lives becoming increasingly complex, from pension decisions to passing wealth between generations to the anxiety people feel about their money during volatile markets. The opportunity for the profession is real, but so is the pressure to serve more clients, stay compliant and remain profitable.
Our Advice Efficiency Survey shows how firms across the market are responding. AI adoption rose from 43% to 74% in just one year, changing how firms work and freeing up more time for clients.
Our eAdviser Index shows that adoption of technology pays. Measuring how thousands of firms use intelliflo office, year after year it shows that when technology is properly embedded in the advice journey, it strengthens your business.
Human judgement, creativity, trust and empathy sit at the heart of every client relationship, and they always will. Technology and AI can’t do what you do, but they can take away some of the burden so you can spend more time doing what you enjoy.
That’s why we don’t just talk about what’s coming, we deliver.
At innovate last year, we committed to delivering eleven innovations, each designed to make a meaningful difference to how you experience and use intelliflo office. This year, Nick confirmed that ten are live and in your hands, with the eleventh, IQ Advice Assistant, on schedule for later this year.
With Carlyle’s acquisition of intelliflo last year we have the backing of a business with a track record of scaling technology companies worldwide. It has given us the speed and the ambition to push the technology further, making it smarter, simpler and more customisable.
Connected from the first meeting
As well as delivering on last year’s promises, we’ve been busy enhancing intelliflo office, because we believe technology should remove friction from the advice journey. We’re making your processes far more connected, starting with the first meeting.
intelliflo IQ is our suite of embedded AI tools, and the first, IQ Engagement Assistant, is already live and we’ve expanded it since launch in response to your feedback.
It works with you from the first client meeting, recording the conversation, capturing key details and transcribing everything, so you can be present in the room with the client.
It then generates an accurate, compliant record, including any photos, audio or files that help illustrate a point.
After the meeting, IQ updates the client record, completes the fact find and sets the follow-up actions, so nothing is missed.
You can sync data across hundreds of fields in intelliflo office, with no manual entry required, and you stay in control of any changes.
We’ve redesigned our Tasks and Workflows functionality as part of our Customer Inspired Change programme. It now brings task notifications onto your home dashboard and keeps routine work moving without prompting.
Technology can’t replace human conversations, but it can improve them. A well-crafted cashflow model can change the discussion about a client’s future needs. intelliflo IQ can generate a personalised suitability report that reflects the client’s individual situation and recommendation, ready to share with them through your white-labelled personal finance portal.
Managing platform work in minutes
Once the plan is agreed, making the investment has long been one of the most painful parts of the process. wealthlink handles it inside intelliflo office, with no switching systems, re-keying data or wet signatures to chase. It gives you a better way to run the investment side of your business.
In response to your feedback, we’ve extended wealthlink. You can open client accounts, handle top-ups, withdrawals, investment switches, SIPP drawdowns and employee contributions, access leading funds, DFMs and the right tax wrappers, all from inside intelliflo office at a competitive platform charge.
A time-and-effort comparison from IFA Outsource put a client case at 32 minutes using the current advice journey, compared to 8 minutes with wealthlink.
That’s 24 minutes saved on every case. For a firm with 100 clients, it adds up to around 40 hours, or a full working week given back.
Revised Advice Journeys
We’re also redesigning the advice journey from the ground up, making it even more efficient and compliant by design. Rules-based controls will ensure high-quality data and consistent application across advice, reviews, and servicing. So, if a case flags, the journey pauses for end-to-end checking with clear remediation steps.
Cashflow modelling sits at the centre, keeping plans aligned from start to finish. For your clients, this means advice journeys that are truly centred on their goals and outcomes. They get clearer visibility of their financial position through before-and-after scenarios, and not just a recommendation, but the reasoning behind it.
The result: greater confidence for both adviser and client that the advice is compliant and truly in their best interests.
Compliance built in, not bolted on
Compliance is a constant pressure for advice firms and three new IQ tools launching later this year, to compliment the existing IQ Engagement Assistant, will make it part of how you work.
IQ Advice Assistant will put rules-based intelligence inside the advice process itself. Customised to your firm’s own advice guidelines, it runs a financial health check before a client discussion, flags any shortfalls and suggests recommendations for you to consider. You decide whether to act on a suggestion or choose your own course, staying in control throughout. Once advice is in place, a post-advice check reassesses the client’s position.
IQ Quality Assistant will review suitability reports, fact finds and presentation meetings against FCA requirements and firm policies, flagging gaps, overstatements and conduct risks before a report goes out.
IQ Compliance Assistant will bring that same oversight to firm level, spotting weak evidence faster than a manual review and grouping assessments by adviser, product or theme to support SMCR and FCA reporting.
Together they move you from finding evidence after the event to building it as you go.
Flo: Your friendly AI assistant
Flo, our interactive assistant for intelliflo office, is evolving. She now learns how you work, recognising patterns in your meetings, tasks, and priorities to surface what you need before you ask. Engage with natural language, no rigid syntax required.
From preparing pre-meeting packs to gathering information and building pre-reads, Flo handles the heavy lifting. She adapts too: if something isn’t quite right, simply point it out and she learns for next time. With Flo 2.0, you set direction once, she handles the rest.
Streamlined Client Reviews
We’ve also made client reviews easier to run. A new client reviews tab brings every client’s upcoming, in-progress and completed reviews into one view, with due–date RAG statuses, critical notes and vulnerability flags.
A start review button opens a case and notifies the client in a click.
Clients log in to the personal finance portal with biometric two-factor authentication, and a new fact find widget prompts them to check their details and flag anything that’s changed before the review.
Where advice is heading
Technology is now essential to the advice process, but the next generation of intelliflo office takes it a step further. We’re not simply connecting software and platform partners, we’re orchestrating them intelligently, so they understand what happens, in what order and under which conditions. We’re building complete end-to-end workflows, not individual tools, which scale safely because governance and audit are built in.
As Nick explained, the future we’re building at intelliflo “means your team spends more time on what only humans can do, while the operational engine behind advice becomes faster and more reliable, case after case, week after week.”
